- What we spend our time doing (reverence / love)
- Primary or main source of joy, satisfaction
- Torah-breaking content?
- Central themes in most tv and games are not in alignment with Torah
- Homosexuality
- Adultery
- Nakedness uncovering
- Divination
- Sorcery
- Witchcraft
- Magic
- Consulting spirits
- Stealing (Mario)
- Shedding innocent blood (Call o duty)
- Even if you don’t take part, you participate
- Agree with (opposite of not standing against the blood)
- Central themes in most tv and games are not in alignment with Torah
Why this can be idolatry:
They capture attention, shape thinking & decisions, and often disciple more than Scripture does.
A simple test:
Do they interrupt your time with God more than God interrupts your time with them?
Witchcraft / Sorcery / Enchantment ect.
- Who knowing the judgment of God… not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:32)
You may not be committing the act, but if you:
- Enjoy it
- Laugh at it
- Are entertained by it
- Coming into agreement with
Questions
Am I entertained by what YHWH calls detestable?
Is this shaping my desires or dulling conviction?
Would I comfortably watch this in the presence of Messiah?
