Want To Enter New Jerusalem?

Do you want to enter into the Kingdom?

Lately, my 5 year old son Daniel and I have enjoyed talking about our desires of getting into Yahuah’s BIG tent, and living with him forever. These conversations started during last year’s Sukkot;  our week of dwelling in our little backyard tent — he asked, when Yahuah will come get us and bring us to his BIG tent (New Jerusalem)? I like Daniel’s thinking, and this should be a yearning we all have.  Do you think about that day? Do you long for it?  Much like the longing a bride has for her special day. I wonder if Daniel’s  pondering is that child like faith that Messiah Yahusha talks about.

At the same time came the disciples unto Yahusha, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Yahusha called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted (turned, or repented), and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:1-4

So who wants to get into the Kingdom?  This is a serious question. All of the Israelite’s leaving Egypt thought they would be entering into the promised land, but we know that is not what happened. Only those who were obedient, trusted in Yahuah, and passed the testing entered in.

Wherefore (as the Ruach Ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit) says, Today if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation (testing) in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
IVRIYM (HEBREWS) 3:7-11 את CEPHER

For if Yahusha the son of Nun had given them rest, perchance another would speak again of this day. There remains therefore a Shabbath for the people of Elohiym. For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as Elohiym did from his. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
IVRIYM (HEBREWS) 4:8-11 את CEPHER

Considering the Israelite’s were saved out of bondage by the blood of the lamb and then were tested in the wilderness prior to entering into the promised land — what is different with us?  We are saved from the bondage of sin by the blood of the lamb, the true lamb of Elohim, our savior Messiah Yahusha. Now, we await his return and entrance into the kingdom, the promised land.

  • Have we truly repented?
    • Lingering sin?
      • Will we let go and give our whole selves to him?
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Elohim, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto Elohim, which is your reasonable service
        Romans 12:1

During our lifetime, we are also tested in the wilderness of the peoples, waiting for that great day when he returns.  Will we be ready, will we be able to enter or, or will the door be shut?

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens; I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.
Revelation 3:7-8

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
1 John 2:3-7

Furthermore, the church of Philadelphia (the one everyone wants to be in) has the door opened to them, as they kept, or guarded the word. They walked out their faith.

Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation (great tribulation), which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you hast, that no man take your crown. Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my Elohim, and the name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my Elohim: and I will write upon him my new name.
Revelation 3:10-12

The great news, Yahuah has been busy waking up a generation.  A generation that longs for the day when we be able to enter into the Kingdom. A generation that is zealous to walk the walk, and not just talk the talk.

And in those days the children shall begin to study the Torah, and to seek the commandments, and to return to the path of righteousness
Jubilees 23:26

Going back to these ‘children’, remember this passage we read earlier:

Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted (turned, or repented), and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven
Matthew 18:3

Messiah clearly speaks on a turning, a repenting being necessary.  Too often the focus is on faith alone without any personal responsibility.  Here is the prophecy Yahusha may have referenced for us, keeping in mind children, faith, turning, repenting and the necessary correction by our Heavenly Father.

Jeremiah 31
3.Yahuah had appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you (no one comes to me except the father first draw him – John 6:44)
6.For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Zion unto the Yahuah our Elohim. 7. F
or thus says Yahuah; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Yahuah, save your people, the remnant of Israel. 8. Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together: a great company shall return thither.

This is the great regathering.  The greater Exodus from all the nations that will be one of the most talked about events of all time. The entering into his Kingdom — or, BIG tent.  Prior to this, a turn, or repenting needs to happen if you want to be part of it.

Jeremiah 31:18-20
I have surely heard Ephraim grieving; You have chastised (disciplined) me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke (untrained): turn me, and I shall be turned (teshuba – repent); for you are Yahuah my Elohim. Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach (embarrassment) of my youth. Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, says the Yahuah

No matter how old we are; we are his children. Did you know the USA is the melting pot for the ‘lost 10 tribes of Israel’, known as Ephraim?  He is waking up his children now, and we can choose to either have pride and a stiffened heart, or we can humble ourselves before our maker, recognizing this is all about him and what he’s asked of us to do.  Believe, repent and obey.  That is, if we want to enter in his Kingdom.

From that time Yahusha began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
Matthew 4:17

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city
Revelation 22:11-14

It’s that simple, it really is.  If you read the scriptures from cover to cover, this is no new concept.  Keep his ways, things go really well for you.  Reject his ways and listen to teachings of men instead of his word, things don’t go well for you.

We all see what’s going on around us, the world is changing quickly.  This is the time to get serious in our walk — talk is cheap, he wants action.

Therefore Yahuah said: “These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is but rules taught by men
Isaiah 29:13 (repeated by Yahusha in Matthew 15)

Messiah told us the majority of people who believe in him won’t be able to enter into the Kingdom due to disobedience:

Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you transgressors of the Torah.
Matthew 7:21-23

The definition of many is the majority of people. We really need to take hold of this and realize what most people right now think. There’s no way that could be meIt’s me after all, IT’S ME I’M SAVED.  I’m a good person, I do good things.

We as a people have been conditioned to believe it’s all about us, when truly, it’s all about HIM. We have to do it his way. What some of us have realized after trying it his way — it’s the only way to live life!

LET not your heart be troubled: ye believe in Elohiym, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions (BIG tent): if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas said unto him, Adonai, we know not whither you go; and how can we know the way? Yahusha said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
YOCHANON (JOHN) 14:1-6 את CEPHER

He just told us how we get to Yahuah’s BIG tent:

THE WAY:
Blessed are the undefiled in THE WAY, who walk in the Torah of Yahuah
Psalm 119:1

THE TRUTH:
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your Torah is THE TRUTH
Psalm 119:142

THE LIFE:
The Torah of the wise is a fountain of LIFE, to depart from the snares of death.
Proverbs 13:14

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will Elohim appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
Isaiah 26:1-2

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

For many are called, but few are chosen
Matthew 22:14

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of Elohim: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of Elohim, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Torah: for sin is the transgression of the Torah.
1 John 3:1-4

This is our definition of sin.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children (there it is again), let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1 John 3:5-7

What is the scriptural definition of righteousness?

And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yahuah our Elohim, as he hath commanded us
Deuteronomy 6:25

He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of Elohim does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of Elohim. In this the children of Elohim are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of Elohim, neither he that loves not his brother.
1 John 3:8-10

So what exactly should we be doing now to prepare?

Our great teacher simplified this whole matter for us — an easy way to understand how we are to perceive life and this walk before us.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Rabbi, which is the great commandment in the Torah? Yahusha said unto him, You shall love Yahuah Elohayka with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Torah and the prophets.
MATTITHYAHU (MATTHEW) 22:35-40 את CEPHER

Truly, every commandment in the Torah can be categorized, or hung onto one of these two precepts.  But what does that look like?  How different is THE WAY? What are we responsible for doing?

  1. Repentance
    verses
  2. Faith
    John 3:14-22
    Mark 16:16
  3. The Ten Commandments (the two commandments expanded)
    Exodus 20:1-17
  4. Yahuah’s ordained Feast Days instead of the world’s holidays.
    – Many verses — His appointed times are forever. Exodus 12:14 example
    – The 7 Feasts – Leviticus 23:4-44
  5. Sabbath (7th day) rest according to the scriptures and gatherings instead of Sunday (1st day)
    Exodus 31:16-17
  6. Observing dietary laws which have never been done away with
    Leviticus 11 & Deuteronomy 14
  7. Real love for one another (this is our greatest challenge)
    Hebrews 12:14
    1 Peter 3:8-13
    Matthew 5:43-48
    John 15:13
    1 John 4:20
1 Peter 5:5– These would constitute the ‘Big 7’ in my opinion — what needs to worked on first (in my opinion).
  8. Proper order in the home
    Ephesians 5:21-33
  9. Training our children in The Way with diligence
    Deuteronomy 30:1-3
  10. A true desire for community, not just a social club
    Acts 2:44-47
  11. Taking the true and full gospel to the nations
    Matthew 28:18-20
  12. A zeal for good works for those in need; charity and love
    Titus 2:12-15
    Deuteronomy 15:7-8
  13. Actually walking the walk as Messiah taught us to
Matthew 5:1-12 is a great start
  14. Understanding how to reconcile matters with true judgement (right rulings)
    Exodus 21:1-23:9
    Matthew 5:21-42
    Matthew 18:15-17
  15. Denying one’s self
    – Addictions – 1 Peter 2:11
    – Fornication – 1 Corinthians 6:18
