Exodus

Israel Increases Greatly in Egypt

Exo 1:1  NOW these are the names of the children of Yashar’el, which came into Mitsrayim; every man and his household came with Ya`aqov.

Exo 1:2  Re’uven, Shim`on, Leviy, and Yahudah,

Exo 1:3  Yisshakar, Zevulun, and Binyamiyn,

Exo 1:4  Dan, and Naphtaliy, Gad, and Asher.

Exo 1:5  And all the souls that came out of the loins of Ya`aqov were seventy souls: for Yoceph was in Mitsrayim already.

Exo 1:6  And Yoceph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

Exo 1:7  And the children of Yashar’el were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

Pharaoh Oppresses Israel

Exo 1:8  Now there arose up a new king over Mitsrayim, which knew not Yoceph.

Exo 1:9  And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Yashar’el are more and mightier than we:

Exo 1:10  Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falls out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

Exo 1:11  Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Phar`oh treasure cities, Pithom and Ra`amcec.

Exo 1:12  But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Yashar’el.

Exo 1:13  And the Mitsriym made the children of Yashar’el to serve with rigour:

Exo 1:14  And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Exo 1:15  And the king of Mitsrayim spoke to the Ivriy midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Pu’ah:

Exo 1:16  And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Ivriyth women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

Exo 1:17  But the midwives feared ELOHIYM, and did not as the king of Mitsrayim commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

Exo 1:18  And the king of Mitsrayim called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

Exo 1:19  And the midwives said unto Phar`oh, Because the Ivriyth women are not as the Mitsriyth women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.

Exo 1:20  Therefore ELOHIYM dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

Exo 1:21  And it came to pass, because the midwives feared ELOHIYM, that he made them houses.

Exo 1:22  And Phar`oh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

The Birth of Moses

Exo 2:1  AND there went a man of the house of Leviy, and took to be his woman a daughter of Leviy.

Exo 2:2  And the woman conceived, and bore a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

Exo 2:3  And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the reeds by the river’s brink.

Exo 2:4  And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

Exo 2:5  And the daughter of Phar`oh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to fetch it.

Exo 2:6  And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Ivriym children.

Exo 2:7  Then said his sister to Phar`oh’s daughter, Shall I go and call to you a nurse of the Ivriyth women, that she may nurse the child for you?

Exo 2:8  And Phar`oh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.

Exo 2:9  And Phar`oh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it.

Exo 2:10  And the child grew, and she brought him unto Phar`oh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Mosheh: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

Moses Flees to Midian

Exo 2:11  And it came to pass in those days, when Mosheh was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied a Mitsriy smiting an Ivriy, one of his brethren.

Exo 2:12  And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Mitsriy, and hid him in the sand.

Exo 2:13  And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Ivriym strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smite you your fellow?

Exo 2:14  And he said, Who made you a prince and a judge over us? intend you to kill me, as you killed the Mitsriy? And Mosheh feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

Exo 2:15  Now when Phar`oh heard this thing, he sought to slay Mosheh. But Mosheh fled from the face of Phar`oh, and dwelt in the land of Midyan: and he sat down by a well.

Exo 2:16  Now the priest of Midyan had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

Exo 2:17  And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Mosheh stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

Exo 2:18  And when they came to Re’u’el their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon today?

Exo 2:19  And they said, A Mitsriy delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

Exo 2:20  And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

Exo 2:21  And Mosheh was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Mosheh Zipporah his daughter.

Exo 2:22  And she bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

Elohim Hears Israel’s Groaning

Exo 2:23  And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Mitsrayim died: and the children of Yashar’el sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto ELOHIYM by reason of the bondage.

Exo 2:24  And ELOHIYM heard their groaning, and ELOHIYM remembered his covenant with Avraham, with Yitschaq, and with Ya`aqov.

Exo 2:25  And ELOHIYM looked upon the children of Yashar’el, and ELOHIYM had respect unto them.

The Burning Bush

Exo 3:1  NOW Mosheh kept the flock of Yithro his father in law, the priest of Midyan: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of ELOHIYM, even to Chorev.

Exo 3:2  And The Angel of YAHUAH appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a thorn bush: and he looked, and, behold, the thorn bush burned with fire, and the thorn bush was not consumed.

Exo 3:3  And Mosheh said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the thorn bush is not burnt.

Exo 3:4  And when YAHUAH saw that he turned aside to see, ELOHIYM called unto him out of the midst of the thorn bush, and said, Mosheh, Mosheh. And he said, Here am I.

Exo 3:5  And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off your shoes from off your feet, for the place whereon you stand is holy ground.

Exo 3:6  Moreover he said, I am the ELOHAI of your father, the ELOHAI of Avraham, the ELOHAI of Yitschaq, and the ELOHAI of Ya`aqov. And Mosheh hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon ELOHIYM.

Exo 3:7  And YAHUAH said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Mitsrayim, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

Exo 3:8  And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Mitsriym, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Kena`aniym, and the Chittiym, and the Emoriym, and the Perizziym, and the Chivviym, and the Yevuciym.

Exo 3:9  Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Yashar’el is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Mitsriym oppress them.

Exo 3:10  Come now therefore, and I will send you unto Phar`oh, that you may bring forth my people the children of Yashar’el out of Mitsrayim.

Exo 3:11  And Mosheh said unto ELOHIYM, Who am I, that I should go unto Phar`oh, and that I should bring forth the children of Yashar’el out of Mitsrayim?

Exo 3:12  And he said, Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a sign unto you, that I have sent you: When you have brought forth the people out of Mitsrayim, ye shall serve ELOHIYM upon this mountain.

Exo 3:13  And Mosheh said unto ELOHIYM, Behold, when I come unto the children of Yashar’el, and shall say unto them, The ELOHAI of your fathers has sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

Exo 3:14  And ELOHIYM said unto El-Mosheh, EHAYAH ASHER EHAYAH: (I AM THAT I AM) and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Yashar’el, EHAYAH (I AM) has sent me unto you.

Exo 3:15  And ELOHIYM said moreover unto El-Mosheh, Thus shall you say unto the children of Yashar’el, YAHUAH ELOHAI of your fathers, the ELOHAI of Avraham, the ELOHAI of Yitschaq, and the ELOHAI of Ya`aqov, has sent me unto you: this is my name forever, and this is my mention unto all generations.

Exo 3:16  Go, and gather the elders of Yashar’el together, and say unto them, YAHUAH ELOHAI of your fathers, the ELOHAI of Avraham, of Yitschaq, and of Ya`aqov, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Mitsrayim:

Exo 3:17  And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Mitsrayim unto the land of the Kena`aniym, and the Chittiym, and the Emoriym, and the Perizziym, and the Chivviym, and the Yevuciym, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

Exo 3:18  And they shall hearken to your voice: and you shall come, you and the elders of Yashar’el, unto the king of Mitsrayim, and ye shall say unto him, YAHUAH ELOHAI of the Ivriym has met with us: and now let us go, we beseech you, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to YAHUAH ELOHAYNU.

Exo 3:19  And I am sure that the king of Mitsrayim will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

Exo 3:20  And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Mitsrayim with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

Exo 3:21  And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Mitsriym: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:

Exo 3:22  But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourns in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Mitsriym.

Moses Given Powerful Signs

Exo 4:1  AND Mosheh answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, YAHUAH has not appeared unto you.

Exo 4:2  And YAHUAH said unto him, What is that in your hand? And he said, A rod.

Exo 4:3  And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Mosheh fled from before it.

Exo 4:4  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Put forth your hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

Exo 4:5  That they may believe that YAHUAH ELOHAI of their fathers, the ELOHAI of Avraham, the ELOHAI of Yitschaq, and the ELOHAI of Ya`aqov, has appeared unto you.

Exo 4:6  And YAHUAH said furthermore unto him, Put now your hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

Exo 4:7  And he said, Put your hand into your bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

Exo 4:8  And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

Exo 4:9  And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which you take out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

Exo 4:10  And Mosheh said unto EL-YAHUAH, O my ADONAI, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since you have spoken unto your servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

Exo 4:11  And YAHUAH said unto him, Who has made man’s mouth? or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I YAHUAH?

Exo 4:12  Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.

Exo 4:13  And he said, O my ADONAI, send, I pray you, by the hand of him whom you will send.

Exo 4:14  And the anger of YAHUAH was kindled against Mosheh, and he said, Is not Aharon the Leviyiy your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he comes forth to meet you: and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

Exo 4:15  And you shall speak unto him, and put the words in his mouth: and I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

Exo 4:16  And he shall be your spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to you instead of a mouth, and you shall be to him instead of ELOHIYM.

Exo 4:17  And you shall take this rod in your hand, wherewith you shall do signs.

Moses Returns to Egypt

Exo 4:18  And Mosheh went and returned to Yithro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray you, and return unto my brethren which are in Mitsrayim, and see whether they be yet alive. And Yithro said to Mosheh, Go in peace.

Exo 4:19  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh in Midyan, Go, return into Mitsrayim: for all the men are dead which sought your life.

Exo 4:20  And Mosheh took his woman and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Mitsrayim: and Mosheh took the rod of ELOHIYM in his hand.

Exo 4:21  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, When you go to return into Mitsrayim, see that you do all those wonders before Phar`oh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

Exo 4:22  And you shall say unto Phar`oh, Thus says YAHUAH, Yashar’el is my son, even my firstborn:

Exo 4:23  And I say unto you, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.

Exo 4:24  And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that YAHUAH met him, and sought to kill him.

Exo 4:25  Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody man are you to me.

Exo 4:26  So he let him go: then she said, A bloody man you are, because of the circumcision.

Exo 4:27  And YAHUAH said to El-Aharon, Go into the wilderness to meet Mosheh. And he went, and met him in the Mount of ELOHIYM, and kissed him.

Exo 4:28  And Mosheh told Aharon all the words of YAHUAH who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.

Exo 4:29  And Mosheh and Aharon went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Yashar’el:

Exo 4:30  And Aharon spoke all the words which YAHUAH had spoken unto Mosheh, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

Exo 4:31  And the people believed: and when they heard that YAHUAH had visited the children of Yashar’el, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

Making Bricks Without Straw

Exo 5:1  AND afterward Mosheh and Aharon went in, and told Phar`oh, Thus says YAHUAH ELOHAI of Yashar’el, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Exo 5:2  And Phar`oh said, Who is YAHUAH, that I should obey his voice to let Yashar’el go? I know not YAHUAH, neither will I let Yashar’el go.

Exo 5:3  And they said, The ELOHAI of the Ivriym has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto YAHUAH ELOHAYNU; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

Exo 5:4  And the king of Mitsrayim said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Mosheh and Aharon, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

Exo 5:5  And Phar`oh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

Exo 5:6  And Phar`oh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

Exo 5:7  Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

Exo 5:8  And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our ELOHIYM.

Exo 5:9  Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

Exo 5:10  And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus says Phar`oh, I will not give you straw.

Exo 5:11  Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

Exo 5:12  So the people were scattered abroad through out all the land of Mitsrayim to gather stubble instead of straw.

Exo 5:13  And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

Exo 5:14  And the officers of the children of Yashar’el, which Phar`oh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and today, as heretofore?

Exo 5:15  Then the officers of the children of Yashar’el came and cried unto Phar`oh, saying, Wherefore deal you thus with your servants?

Exo 5:16  There is no straw given unto your servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.

Exo 5:17  But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to YAHUAH.

Exo 5:18  Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

Exo 5:19  And the officers of the children of Yashar’el did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not diminish anything from your bricks of your daily task.

Exo 5:20  And they met Mosheh and Aharon, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Phar`oh:

Exo 5:21  And they said unto them, YAHUAH look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Phar`oh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

Exo 5:22  And Mosheh returned unto EL-YAHUAH, and said, ADONAI, wherefore have you so evil entreated this people? why is it that you have sent me?

Exo 5:23  For since I came to Phar`oh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have you delivered your people at all.

God Promises Deliverance

Exo 6:1  THEN YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Now shall you see what I will do to Phar`oh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

Exo 6:2  And ELOHIYM spoke unto Mosheh, and said unto him, I am YAHUAH:

Exo 6:3  And I appeared unto El-Avraham, unto El-Yitschaq, and unto El-Ya`aqov, by EL SHADDAI, but by my name YAHUAH was I not known to them.

Exo 6:4  And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Kena`an, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.

Exo 6:5  And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Yashar’el, whom the Mitsriym keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

Exo 6:6  Wherefore say unto the children of Yashar’el, I am YAHUAH, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitsriym, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

Exo 6:7  And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you ELOHIYM: and ye shall know that I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM, which brings you out from under the burdens of the Mitsriym.

Exo 6:8  And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did את eth-swear to give it to Avraham, to Yitschaq, and to Ya`aqov; and I will give it you for a heritage: I am YAHUAH.

Exo 6:9  And Mosheh spoke so unto the children of Yashar’el: but they hearkened not unto Mosheh for anguish of the ruach (spirit), and for cruel bondage.

Exo 6:10  And YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Exo 6:11  Go in, speak unto Phar`oh king of Mitsrayim, that he let the children of Yashar’el go out of his land.

Exo 6:12  And Mosheh spoke before YAHUAH, saying, Behold, the children of Yashar’el have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Phar`oh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

Exo 6:13  And YAHUAH spoke unto El-Mosheh and unto El-Aharon, and gave them a charge unto the children of Yashar’el, and unto Phar`oh king of Mitsrayim, to bring the children of Yashar’el out of the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 6:30  And Mosheh said before YAHUAH, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Phar`oh hearken unto me?

Moses and Aaron Before Pharaoh

Exo 7:1  AND YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, See, I have made you an elohiym to Phar`oh: and Aharon your brother shall be your prophet.

Exo 7:2  You shall speak all that I command you: and Aharon your brother shall speak unto Phar`oh, that he send the children of Yashar’el out of his land.

Exo 7:3  And I will harden את eth-Phar`oh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 7:4  But Phar`oh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Mitsrayim, and bring forth my armies, and my people the children of Yashar’el, out of the land of Mitsrayim by great judgments.

Exo 7:5  And the Mitsriym shall know that I am YAHUAH, when I stretch forth my hand upon Mitsrayim, and bring out the children of Yashar’el from among them.

Exo 7:6  And Mosheh and Aharon did as YAHUAH commanded them, so did they.

Exo 7:7  And Mosheh was fourscore years old, and Aharon fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Phar`oh.

Exo 7:8  And YAHUAH spoke unto El-Mosheh and unto El-Aharon, saying,

Exo 7:9  When Phar`oh shall speak unto you, saying, Show a miracle for you: then you shall say unto El-Aharon, Take your rod, and cast it before Phar`oh, and it shall become a serpent.

Exo 7:10  And Mosheh and Aharon went in unto Phar`oh, and they did so as YAHUAH had commanded: and Aharon cast down his rod before Phar`oh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

Exo 7:11  Then Phar`oh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Mitsrayim, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

Exo 7:12  For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aharon’s rod swallowed up their rods.

Exo 7:13  And he hardened Phar`oh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as YAHUAH had said.

The First Plague: Water Turned to Blood

Exo 7:14  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Phar`oh’s heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.

Exo 7:15  Get you unto Phar`oh in the morning; lo, he goes out unto the water; and you shall stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in your hand.

Exo 7:16  And you shall say unto him, YAHUAH ELOHAI of the Ivriym has sent me unto you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto you would not hear.

Exo 7:17  Thus says YAHUAH, In this you shall know that I am YAHUAH: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

Exo 7:18  And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Mitsriym shall loathe to drink of the water of the river.

Exo 7:19  And YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, Say unto Aharon, Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Mitsrayim, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and thatthere may be blood throughout all the land of Mitsrayim, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.

Exo 7:20  And Mosheh and Aharon did so, as YAHUAH com manded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Phar`oh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

Exo 7:21  And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Mitsriym could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 7:22  And the magicians of Mitsrayim did so with their enchant ments: and Phar`oh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as YAHUAH had said.

Exo 7:23  And Phar`oh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.

Exo 7:24  And all the Mitsriym dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.

Exo 7:25  And seven days were fulfilled, after that YAHUAH had smitten the river.

The Second Plague: Frogs

Exo 8:1  AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, Go unto Phar`oh, and say unto him, Thus says YAHUAH, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exo 8:2  And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your borders with frogs:

Exo 8:3  And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and upon your bed, and into the house of your servants, and upon your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:

Exo 8:4  And the frogs shall come up both on you, and upon your people, and upon all your servants.

Exo 8:5  And YAHUAH spoke unto El-Mosheh, Say unto El-Aharon, Stretch forth your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause the frogs to come up upon the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:6  And Aharon stretched out his hand over the waters of Mitsrayim; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:7  And the magicians did so with their enchant ments, and brought up the frogs upon the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:8  Then Phar`oh called for Mosheh and Aharon, and said, Intreat EL-YAHUAH, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto YAHUAH.

Exo 8:9  And Mosheh said unto Phar`oh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only?

Exo 8:10  And he said, Tomorrow. And he said, Be it according to your word: that you may know that there is none like unto YAHUAH ELOHAYNU.

Exo 8:11  And the frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people; they shall remain in the river only.

Exo 8:12  And Mosheh and Aharon went out from Phar`oh: and Mosheh cried unto EL-YAHUAH because of the frogs which he had brought against Phar`oh.

Exo 8:13  And YAHUAH did according to the word of Mosheh; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.

Exo 8:14  And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.

Exo 8:15  But when Phar`oh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as YAHUAH had said.

The Third Plague: Gnats

Exo 8:16  And YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh, Say unto El-Aharon, Stretch out your rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:17  And they did so; for Aharon stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 8:18  And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth the lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.

Exo 8:19  Then the magicians said unto Phar`oh, This is the finger of ELOHIYM: and Phar`oh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as YAHUAH had said.

The Fourth Plague: Flies

Exo 8:20  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Phar`oh; lo, he comes forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus says YAHUAH, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exo 8:21  Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Mitsriym shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.

Exo 8:22  And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am YAHUAH in the midst of the earth.

Exo 8:23  And I will put a division between my people and your people: tomorrow shall this sign be.

Exo 8:24  And YAHUAH did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Phar`oh, and into his servants’ houses, and into all the land of Mitsrayim: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.

Exo 8:25  And Phar`oh called for Mosheh and for Aharon, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your ELOHIYM in the land.

Exo 8:26  And Mosheh said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Mitsriym to YAHUAH ELOHAYNU: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Mitsriym before their eyes, and will they not stone us?

Exo 8:27  We will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to YAHUAH ELOHAYNU, as he shall command us.

Exo 8:28  And Phar`oh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to YAHUAH ELOHAYKA in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me.

Exo 8:29  And Mosheh said, Behold, I go out from you, and I will intreat EL-YAHUAH that the swarms of flies may depart from Phar`oh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow: but let not Phar`oh deal deceitfully anymore in not letting the people go to sacrifice to YAHUAH.

Exo 8:30  And Mosheh went out from Phar`oh, and intreated YAHUAH.

Exo 8:31  And YAHUAH did according to the word of Mosheh; and he removed the swarms of flies from Phar`oh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

Exo 8:32  And Phar`oh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

The Fifth Plague: Egyptian Livestock Die

Exo 9:1  THEN YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh, Go in unto Phar`oh, and tell him, Thus says YAHUAH ELOHAI of the Ivriym, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exo 9:2  For if you refuse to let them go, and will hold them still,

Exo 9:3  Behold, the hand of YAHUAH is upon your cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous pestilence.

Exo 9:4  And YAHUAH shall sever between the cattle of Yashar’el and the cattle of Mitsrayim: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Yashar’el.

Exo 9:5  And YAHUAH appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow YAHUAH shall do this thing in the land.

Exo 9:6  And YAHUAH did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Mitsrayim died: but of the cattle of the children of Yashar’el died not one.

Exo 9:7  And Phar`oh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of Yashar’el dead. And the heart of Phar`oh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

The Sixth Plague: Boils

Exo 9:8  And YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh and unto El-Aharon, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Mosheh sprinkle it toward the heavens in the sight of Phar`oh.

Exo 9:9  And it shall become small dust in all the land of Mitsrayim, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 9:10  And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Phar`oh; and Mosheh sprinkled it up toward the heavens; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

Exo 9:11  And the magicians could not stand before Mosheh because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Mitsriym.

Exo 9:12  And YAHUAH hardened the heart of Phar`oh, and he hearkened not unto them; as YAHUAH had spoken unto El-Mosheh.

The Seventh Plague: Hail

Exo 9:13  And YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Phar`oh, and say unto him, Thus says YAHUAH ELOHAI of the Ivriym, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exo 9:14  For I will at this time send all my plagues upon your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

Exo 9:15  For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite you and your people with pestilence; and you shall be cut off from the earth.

Exo 9:16  And in very deed for this cause have I raised you up, for to show in you my power; and that my name may be declared through out all the earth.

Exo 9:17  As yet exalt you yourself against my people, that you will not let them go?

Exo 9:18  Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Mitsrayim since the foundation thereof even until now.

Exo 9:19  Send therefore now, and gather your cattle, and all that you have in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

Exo 9:20  He that feared the Word of YAHUAH among the servants of Phar`oh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

Exo 9:21  And he that regarded not the Word of YAHUAH left his servants and his cattle in the field.

Exo 9:22  And YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh, Stretch forth your hand toward the heavens, that there may be hail in all the land of Mitsrayim, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 9:23  And Mosheh stretched forth his rod toward the heavens: and YAHUAH sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and YAHUAH rained hail upon the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 9:24  So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Mitsrayim since it became a nation.

Exo 9:25  And the hail smote throughout all the land of Mitsrayim all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

Exo 9:26  Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Yashar’el were, was there no hail.

Exo 9:27  And Phar`oh sent, and called for Mosheh and Aharon, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: YAHUAH is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Exo 9:28  Intreat EL-YAHUAH (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

Exo 9:29  And Mosheh said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto EL-YAHUAH; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be anymore hail; that you may know how that the earth is YAHUAH’S.

Exo 9:30  But as for you and your servants, I know that ye will not yet fear YAHUAH ELOHIYM.

Exo 9:31  And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

Exo 9:32  But the wheat and the rye were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

Exo 9:33  And Mosheh went out of the city from Phar`oh, and spread abroad his hands unto EL-YAHUAH: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

Exo 9:34  And when Phar`oh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

Exo 9:35  And the heart of Phar`oh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Yashar’el go; as YAHUAH had spoken by Mosheh.

The Eighth Plague: Locusts

Exo 10:1  AND YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh, Go in unto Phar`oh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him:

Exo 10:2  And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have wrought in Mitsrayim, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am YAHUAH.

Exo 10:3  And Mosheh and Aharon came in unto Phar`oh, and said unto him, Thus says YAHUAH ELOHAI of the Ivriym, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exo 10:4  Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into your coast:

Exo 10:5  And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the remnant of that which is escaped, which remains unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field:

Exo 10:6  And they shall fill your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Mitsriym; which neither your fathers, nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Phar`oh.

Exo 10:7  And Phar`oh’s servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve YAHUAH ELOHAYHEM: know you not yet that Mitsrayim is destroyed?

Exo 10:8  And Mosheh and Aharon were brought again unto Phar`oh: and he said unto them, Go, serve YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM: but who are they that shall go?

Exo 10:9  And Mosheh said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto YAHUAH.

Exo 10:10  And he said unto them, Let YAHUAH be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

Exo 10:11  Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve YAHUAH; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Phar`oh’s presence.

Exo 10:12  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Stretch out your hand over the land of Mitsrayim for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Mitsrayim, and eat every herb of the land,  even all that the hail has left.

Exo 10:13  And Mosheh stretched forth his rod over the land of Mitsrayim, and YAHUAH brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

Exo 10:14  And the locusts went up over all the land of Mitsrayim, and rested in all the coasts of Mitsrayim: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

Exo 10:15  For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 10:16  Then Phar`oh called for Mosheh and Aharon in haste; and he said, I have sinned against YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM, and against you.

Exo 10:17  Now therefore forgive, I pray you, my sin only this once, and intreat YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM, that he may take away from me this death only.

Exo 10:18  And he went out from Phar`oh, and intreated YAHUAH.

Exo 10:19  And YAHUAH turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Mitsrayim.

Exo 10:20  But YAHUAH hardened Phar`oh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Yashar’el go.

The Ninth Plague: Darkness

Exo 10:21  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, that there may be darkness over the land of Mitsrayim, even darkness which may be felt.

Exo 10:22  And Mosheh stretched forth his hand toward the heavens; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Mitsrayim three days:

Exo 10:23  They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Yashar’el had light in their dwellings.

Exo 10:24  And Phar`oh called unto Mosheh, and said, Go ye, serve YAHUAH; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

Exo 10:25  And Mosheh said, You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto YAHUAH ELOHAYNU.

Exo 10:26  Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve YAHUAH ELOHAYNU; and we know not with what we must serve YAHUAH, until we come thither.

Exo 10:27  But YAHUAH hardened Phar`oh’s heart, and he would not let them go.

Exo 10:28  And Phar`oh said unto him, Get you from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die.

Exo 10:29  And Mosheh said, You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.

A Final Plague Threatened

Exo 11:1  AND YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Phar`oh, and upon Mitsrayim; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

Exo 11:2  Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

Exo 11:3  And YAHUAH gave the people favour in the sight of the Mitsriym. Moreover the man Mosheh was very great in the land of Mitsrayim, in the sight of Phar`oh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.

Exo 11:4  And Mosheh said, Thus says YAHUAH, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Mitsrayim:

Exo 11:5  And all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim shall die, from the firstborn of Phar`oh that sits upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

Exo 11:6  And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Mitsrayim, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it anymore.

Exo 11:7  But against any of the children of Yashar’el shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that YAHUAH puts a difference between the Mitsriym and Yashar’el.

Exo 11:8  And all these your servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get you out, and all the people that follow you: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Phar`oh in a great anger.

Exo 11:9  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Phar`oh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 11:10  And Mosheh and Aharon did all these wonders before Phar`oh: and YAHUAH hardened Phar`oh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Yashar’el go out of his land.

The Passover

Exo 12:1  AND YAHUAH spoke unto El-Mosheh and El-Aharon in the land of Mits rayim, saying,

Exo 12:2  This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Exo 12:3  Speak ye unto all the assembly of Yashar’el, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:

Exo 12:4  And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

Exo 12:5  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Exo 12:6  And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole multitude of the assembly of Yashar’el shall kill it in the evening.

Exo 12:7  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Exo 12:8  And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and matstsah (unleavened bread); and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

Exo 12:9  Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

Exo 12:10  And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

Exo 12:11  And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is YAHUAH’S Pecach (Passover).

Exo 12:12  For I will pass through the land of Mitsrayim this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim, both man and beast; and against all the elohai of Mitsrayim I will execute judgment: I am YAHUAH.

Exo 12:13  And the blood shall be to you for a mark upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 12:14  And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to YAHUAH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

Exo 12:15  Seven days shall ye eat matstsah; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats chamets (leavened bread) from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Yashar’el.

Exo 12:16  And in the first day there shall be a holy assembly, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy assembly to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

Exo 12:17  And ye shall guard the Feast of Matstsah (Unleavened Bread); for in this selfsame day have I brought את eth-your armies out of the land of Mitsrayim: therefore shall ye guard this day in your generations by an ordinance forever.

Exo 12:18  In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, ye shall eat matstsah, until the one and twentieth day of the month at evening.

Exo 12:19  Seven days shall there be no chamets found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is with chamets (leaven), even that soul shall be cut off from the assembly of Yashar’el, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

Exo 12:20  Ye shall eat nothing with chamets; in all your habitations shall ye eat matstsah.

Exo 12:21  Then Mosheh called for all the elders of Yashar’el, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the Pecach (Passover).

Exo 12:22  And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Exo 12:23  For YAHUAH will pass through to smite את eth-the Mitsriym; and when he sees את eth-the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, YAHUAH will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Exo 12:24  And ye shall guard את eth-this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.

Exo 12:25  And it shall come to pass, when ye are come to the land which YAHUAH will give you, according as he has promised, that ye shall guard את eth-this service.

Exo 12:26  And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

Exo 12:27  That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of YAHUAH’S Pecach, who passed over the houses of the children of Yashar’el in Mitsrayim, when he smote את eth-the Mitsriym, and את eth-delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Exo 12:28  And the children of Yashar’el went away, and did as YAHUAH had commanded את eth-Mosheh and Aharon, so did they.

The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn

Exo 12:29  And it came to pass, that at midnight YAHUAH smote all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim, from the firstborn of Phar`oh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

Exo 12:30  And Phar`oh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Mitsriym; and there was a great cry in Mitsrayim; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Exo 12:31  And he called for Mosheh and Aharon by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Yashar’el; and go, serve את eth-YAHUAH, as ye have said.

Exo 12:32  Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

The Exodus

Exo 12:33  And the Mitsriym were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

Exo 12:34  And the people took את eth-their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

Exo 12:35  And the children of Yashar’el did according to the word of Mosheh; and they borrowed of the Mitsriym jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

Exo 12:36  And YAHUAH gave the people את eth-favour in the sight of the Mitsriym, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled את eth-the Mitsriym.

Exo 12:37  And the children of Yashar’el jour neyed from Ra`amcec to Cukkoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

Exo 12:38  And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

Exo 12:39  And they baked matstsah cakes of את eth-the dough which they brought forth out of Mitsrayim, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Mitsrayim, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

Exo 12:40  Now the sojourning of the children of Yashar’el, who dwelt in the land of Mitsrayim, and in the land of Kena`an, they and their fathers, was four hundred and thirty years.

Exo 12:41  And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of YAHUAH went out from the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 12:42  It is a night to be much observed unto YAHUAH for bringing them out from the land of Mitsrayim: this is that night of YAHUAH to be observed of all the children of Yashar’el in their generations.

Institution of the Passover

Exo 12:43  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh and Aharon, This is the ordinance of the Pecach: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

Exo 12:44  But every man’s servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

Exo 12:45  A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat thereof.

Exo 12:46  In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

Exo 12:47  All the assembly of Yashar’el shall keep it.

Exo 12:48  And when a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the Pecach to YAHUAH, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

Exo 12:49  One Torah shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.

Exo 12:50  Thus did all the children of Yashar’el; as YAHUAH commanded את eth-Mosheh and את eth-Aharon, so did they.

Exo 12:51  And it came to pass the selfsame day, that YAHUAH did bring את eth-the children of Yashar’el out of the land of Mitsrayim by their armies.

Consecration of the Firstborn

Exo 13:1  AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Exo 13:2  Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, what soever opens the womb among the children of Yashar’el, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread

Exo 13:3  And Mosheh said unto the people, Remember את eth-this day, in which ye came out from Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand YAHUAH brought you out from this place: there shall no chamets (leavened bread) be eaten.

Exo 13:4  This day came ye out in the month Aviyv.

Exo 13:5  And it shall be when YAHUAH shall bring you into the land of the Kena`aniym, and the Chittiym, and the Emoriym, and the Chivviym, and the Yevuciym, which he swore unto your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep את eth-this service in this month.

Exo 13:6  Seven days you shall eat matstsah (unleavened bread), and in the seventh day shall be a feast to YAHUAH.

Exo 13:7  Matstsah shall be eaten את eth seven days; and there shall no chamets be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters.

Exo 13:8  And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which YAHUAH did unto me when I came forth out of Mitsrayim.

Exo 13:9  And it shall be for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that YAHUAH’S Torah may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has YAHUAH brought you out of Mitsrayim.

Exo 13:10  You shall therefore guard את eth-this ordinance in his appointed time from year to year.

Exo 13:11  And it shall be when YAHUAH shall bring you into the land of the Kena`aniym, as he swore unto you and to your fathers, and shall give it you,

Exo 13:12  That you shall set apart unto YAHUAH all that open the womb, and every firstling that comes of a beast which you have; the males shall be YAHUAH’S.

Exo 13:13  And every firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among your children shall you redeem.

Exo 13:14  And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say unto him, By strength of hand YAHUAH brought us out from Mitsrayim, from the house of bondage:

Exo 13:15  And it came to pass, when Phar`oh would hardly let us go, that YAHUAH slew all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to YAHUAH all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

Exo 13:16  And it shall be for a mark upon your hand, and for frontlets between your eyes: for by strength of hand YAHUAH brought us forth out of Mitsrayim.

Pillars of Cloud and Fire

Exo 13:17  And it came to pass, when Phar`oh had let את eth-the people go, that ELOHIYM led them not through the way of the land of the Pelishtiym, although that was near; for ELOHIYM said, Lest perchance the people repent when they see war, and they return to Mitsrayim:

Exo 13:18  But ELOHIYM led את eth-the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea: and the children of Yashar’el went up harnessed out of the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 13:19  And Mosheh took את eth-the bones of Yoceph with him: for he had straitly sworn את eth-the children of Yashar’el, saying, ELOHIYM will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up את eth-my bones away hence with you.

Exo 13:20  And they took their journey from Cukkoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

Exo 13:21  And YAHUAH went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

Exo 13:22  He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Crossing the Red Sea

Exo 14:1  AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Exo 14:2  Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, that they turn and encamp before Piy Ha-Chiyroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Ba`al Tsephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.

Exo 14:3  For Phar`oh will say of the children of Yashar’el, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.

Exo 14:4  And I will harden את eth-Phar`oh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Phar`oh, and upon all his host; that the Mitsriym may know that I am YAHUAH. And they did so.

Exo 14:5  And it was told the king of Mitsrayim that the people fled: and the heart of Phar`oh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let את eth-Yashar’el go from serving us?

Exo 14:6  And he made ready את eth-his chariot, and took את eth-his people with him:

Exo 14:7  And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Mits rayim, and captains over everyone of them.

Exo 14:8  And YAHUAH hardened את eth-the heart of Phar`oh king of Mitsrayim, and he pursued after the children of Yashar’el: and the children of Yashar’el went out with a high hand.

Exo 14:9  But the Mitsriym pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Phar`oh, and his horsemen, and his army, and over took them encamping by the sea, beside Piy Ha-Chiyroth, before Ba`al Tsephon.

Exo 14:10  And when Phar`oh drew nigh, the children of Yashar’el lifted up את eth-their eyes, and, behold, the Mitsriym marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Yashar’el cried out unto YAHUAH.

Exo 14:11  And they said unto Mosheh, Because there were no graves in Mitsrayim, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Mitsrayim?

Exo 14:12  Is not this the word that we did tell you in Mitsrayim, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve את eth-the Mitsriym? For it had been better for us to serve את eth-the Mitsriym, than that we should die in the wilderness.

Exo 14:13  And Mosheh said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see את eth-the yeshu`ah (salvation) of YAHUAH, which he will show to you today: for את eth-the Mitsriym whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.

Exo 14:14  YAHUAH shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Exo 14:15  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Wherefore cry you unto me? speak unto the children of Yashar’el, that they go forward:

Exo 14:16  But lift up את eth-your rod, and stretch out את eth-your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Yashar’el shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Exo 14:17  And I, behold, I will harden את eth-the hearts of the Mitsriym, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Phar`oh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

Exo 14:18  And the Mitsriym shall know that I am YAHUAH, when I have gotten me honour upon Phar`oh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

Exo 14:19  And the angel of ELOHIYM, which went before the camp of Yashar’el, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

Exo 14:20  And it came between the camp of the Mitsriym and the camp of Yashar’el; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light את eth-by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

Exo 14:21  And Mosheh stretched out את eth-his hand over the sea; and YAHUAH caused את eth-the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made את eth-the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

Exo 14:22  And the children of Yashar’el went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Exo 14:23  And the Mitsriym pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Phar`oh’s horses, his chariots, and his horse men.

Exo 14:24  And it came to pass, that in the morning watch YAHUAH looked unto the host of the Mitsriym through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled את eth the host of the Mitsriym,

Exo 14:25  And took off את eth their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily: so that the Mitsriym said, Let us flee from the face of Yashar’el; for YAHUAH fights for them against the Mitsriym.

Exo 14:26  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Stretch out את eth-your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Mitsriym, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

Exo 14:27  And Mosheh stretched forth את eth-his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Mitsriym fled against it; and YAHUAH overthrew את eth-the Mitsriym in the midst of the sea.

Exo 14:28  And the waters returned, and covered את eth-the chariots, and את eth-the horsemen, and all the host of Phar`oh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

Exo 14:29  But the children of Yashar’el walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Exo 14:30  Thus YAHUAH saved את eth-Yashar’el that day out of the hand of the Mitsriym; and Yashar’el saw את eth-the Mitsriym dead upon the sea shore.

Exo 14:31  And Yashar’el saw את eth-that great work which YAHUAH did upon the Mitsriym: and the people feared את eth-YAHUAH, and believed YAHUAH, and his servant Mosheh.

The Song of Moses

Exo 15:1  THEN sang Mosheh and the children of Yashar’el את eth-this song unto YAHUAH, and spoke, saying, I will sing unto YAHUAH, for he has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.

Exo 15:2  YAH is my strength and song, and he is become my yeshu`ah: he is my EL, and I will prepare him a habitation; my father’s ELOHAI, and I will exalt him.

Exo 15:3  YAHUAH is a man of war: YAHUAH is his name.

Exo 15:4  Phar`oh’s chariots and his host has he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.

Exo 15:5  The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

Exo 15:6  Your right hand, O YAHUAH, is become glorious in power: your right hand, O YAHUAH, has dashed in pieces the enemy.

Exo 15:7  And in the greatness of your excellency you have overthrown them that rose up against you: you sent forth your wrath, whichcon sumed them as stubble.

Exo 15:8  And with the blast of your nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as a heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

Exo 15:9  The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

Exo 15:10  You blew with your RUACH, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

Exo 15:11  Who is like unto you, O YAHUAH, among the elohiym? who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Exo 15:12  You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them.

Exo 15:13  You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength unto your holy habitation.

Exo 15:14  The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Pelehsheth.

Exo 15:15  Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Mo’av, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Kena`an shall melt away.

Exo 15:16  Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of your arm they shall be as still as a stone; till your people pass over, O YAHUAH, till the people pass over, which you have purchased.

Exo 15:17  You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, in the place, O YAHUAH, which you have made for you to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O ADONAI, which your hands have established.

Exo 15:18  YAHUAH shall reign forever and ever.

Exo 15:19  For the horse of Phar`oh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and YAHUAH brought again את eth-the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Yashar’el went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

Exo 15:20  And Miryam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took את eth-a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

Exo 15:21  And Miryam answered them, Sing ye to YAHUAH, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea.

Bitter Water Made Sweet

Exo 15:22  So Mosheh brought את eth-Yashar’el from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

Exo 15:23  And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

Exo 15:24  And the people murmured against Mosheh, saying, What shall we drink?

Exo 15:25  And he cried unto EL-YAHUAH; and YAHUAH showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

Exo 15:26  And said, If you will diligently hearken to the voice of YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and guard all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Mitsriym: for I am YAHUAH ROPHE’KA (YAHUAH who heals you).

Exo 15:27  And they came to Eylim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

Bread from Heaven

Exo 16:1  AND they took their journey from Eylim, and all the assembly of the children of Yashar’el came unto the wilderness of Ciyn, which is between Eylim and Ciynai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 16:2  And the whole assembly of the children of Yashar’el murmured against Mosheh and Aharon in the wilderness:

Exo 16:3  And the children of Yashar’el said unto them, Would to ELOHIYM we had died by the hand of YAHUAH in the land of Mitsrayim, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill את eth-this whole assembly with hunger.

Exo 16:4  Then said YAHUAH unto Mosheh, Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my Torah, or no.

Exo 16:5  And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare את eth that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

Exo 16:6  And Mosheh and Aharon said unto all the children of Yashar’el, At evening, then ye shall know that YAHUAH has brought you out from the land of Mitsrayim:

Exo 16:7  And in the morning, then ye shall see את eth-the glory of YAHUAH; for that he hears את eth-your murmurings against YAHUAH: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

Exo 16:8  And Mosheh said, This shall be, when YAHUAH shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that YAHUAH hears your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? את eth-your murmurings are not against us, but against YAHUAH.

Exo 16:9  And Mosheh spoke unto El-Aharon, Say unto all the assembly of the children of Yashar’el, Come near before YAHUAH: for he has heard את eth your murmurings.

Exo 16:10  And it came to pass, as Aharon spoke unto the whole assembly of the children of Yashar’el, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of YAHUAH appeared in the cloud.

Exo 16:11  And YAHUAH spoke unto Mo sheh, saying,

Exo 16:12  I have heard את eth-the murmurings of the children of Yashar’el: speak unto them, saying, At evening ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM.

Exo 16:13  And it came to pass, that at evening the quails came up, and covered את eth-the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.

Exo 16:14  And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

Exo 16:15  And when the children of Yashar’el saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they knew not what it was. And Mosheh said unto them, This is the bread which YAHUAH has given you to eat.

Exo 16:16  This is the thing which YAHUAH has commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.

Exo 16:17  And the children of Yashar’el did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

Exo 16:18  And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

Exo 16:19  And Mosheh said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

Exo 16:20  Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Mosheh; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Mosheh was wroth with them.

Exo 16:21  And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

Exo 16:22  And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the assembly came and told Mosheh.

Exo 16:23  And he said unto them, This is that which YAHUAH has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the Holy Shabbath unto YAHUAH: אתeth bake that which ye will bake today, and את eth seethe that ye will seethe; and את eth that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Exo 16:24  And they laid it up till the morning, as Mosheh bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

Exo 16:25  And Mosheh said, Eat that today; for today is a Shabbath unto YAHUAH: today ye shall not find it in the field.

Exo 16:26  Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the Shabbath, in it there shall be none.

Exo 16:27  And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

Exo 16:28  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, How long refuse ye to guard my commandments and my Torah?

Exo 16:29  See, for that YAHUAH has given you the Shabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

Exo 16:30  So the people rested on the seventh day.

Exo 16:31  And the house of Yashar’el called את eth-the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

Exo 16:32  And Mosheh said, This is the thing which YAHUAH commands, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see את eth-the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 16:33  And Mosheh said unto El-Aharon, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before YAHUAH, to be kept for your generations.

Exo 16:34  As YAHUAH commanded Mo sheh, so Aharon laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

Exo 16:35  And the children of Yashar’el did eat את eth-manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did את eth-eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Kena`an.

Exo 16:36  Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

Water from the Rock

Exo 17:1  AND all the assembly of the children of Yashar’el journeyed from the wilderness of Ciyn, after their journeys, according to the com mand ment of YAHUAH, and pitched in Rephiydiym: and there was no water for the people to drink.

Exo 17:2  Wherefore the people did chide with Mosheh, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Mosheh said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt את eth-YAHUAH?

Exo 17:3  And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Mosheh, and said, Wherefore is this that you have brought us up out of Mitsrayim, to kill us and את eth-our children and את eth-our cattle with thirst?

Exo 17:4  And Mosheh cried unto EL-YAHUAH, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

Exo 17:5  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Yashar’el; and your rod, wherewith you smote את eth-the river, take in your hand, and go.

Exo 17:6  Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Chorev; and you shall smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Mosheh did so in the sight of the elders of Yashar’el.

Exo 17:7  And he called the name of the place Maccah, and Meriyvah, because of the chiding of the children of Yashar’el, and because they tempted את eth-YAHUAH, saying, Is YAHUAH among us, or not?

Israel Defeats Amalek

Exo 17:8  Then came Amaleq, and fought with Yashar’el in Rephiydiym.

Exo 17:9  And Mosheh said unto El-Yahusha, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amaleq: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of ELOHIYM in my hand.

Exo 17:10  So Yahusha did as Mosheh had said to him, and fought with Amaleq: and Mosheh, Aharon, and Chur went up to the top of the hill.

Exo 17:11  And it came to pass, when Mosheh held up his hand, that Yashar’el prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amaleq prevailed.

Exo 17:12  But Mosheh’s hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aharon and Chur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Exo 17:13  And Yahusha discomfited את eth-Amaleq and את eth-his people with the edge of the sword.

Exo 17:14  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Write this for a memorial in a cepher, and rehearse it in the ears of Yahusha: for I will utterly put out את eth-the remembrance of Amaleq from under the heavens.

Exo 17:15  And Mosheh built an altar, and called the name of it YAHUAH NICCIY (YAHUAH my banner):

Exo 17:16  For he said, Because YAH has sworn that YAHUAH will have war with Amaleq from generation to generation.

Jethro’s Advice

Exo 18:1  WHEN Yithro, the priest of Midyan, El-Mosheh’s father in law, heard of all that ELOHIYM had done for Mosheh, and for Yashar’el his people, and that YAHUAH had brought Yashar’el out of Mitsrayim;

Exo 18:2  Then Yithro, Mosheh’s father in law, took Tsipporah, Mosheh’s woman, after he had sent her back,

Exo 18:3  And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:

Exo 18:4  And the name of the other was Eliy`ezer; for the ELOHAI of my father, said he, was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Phar`oh:

Exo 18:5  And Yithro, Mosheh’s father in law, came with his sons and his woman unto Mosheh into the wilderness, where he encamped at the Mount of ELOHIYM:

Exo 18:6  And he said unto Mosheh, I your father in law Yithro am come unto you, and your woman, and her two sons with her.

Exo 18:7  And Mosheh went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

Exo 18:8  And Mosheh told his father in law all that YAHUAH had done unto Phar`oh and to the Mitsriym for Yashar’el’s sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how YAHUAH delivered them.

Exo 18:9  And Yithro rejoiced for all the goodness which YAHUAH had done to Yashar’el, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Mitsriym.

Exo 18:10  And Yithro said, Blessed be YAHUAH, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Mitsriym, and out of the hand of Phar`oh, who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Mitsriym.

Exo 18:11  Now I know that YAHUAH is greater than all elohiym: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

Exo 18:12  And Yithro, Mosheh’s father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for ELOHIYM: and Aharon came, and all the elders of Yashar’el, to eat bread with Mosheh’s father in law before ELOHIYM.

Exo 18:13  And it came to pass on the morrow, that Mosheh sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Mosheh from the morning unto the evening.

Exo 18:14  And when Mosheh’s father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that you do to the people? why sit you yourself alone, and all the people stand by you from morning unto evening?

Exo 18:15  And Mosheh said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of ELOHIYM:

Exo 18:16  When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of ELOHIYM, and his Torah.

Exo 18:17  And Mosheh’s father in law said unto him, The thing that you do is not good.

Exo 18:18  You will surely wear away, both you, and this people that is with you: for this thing is too heavy for you; you are not able to perform it yourself alone.

Exo 18:19  Hearken now unto my voice, I will give you counsel, and ELOHIYM shall be with you: Be for the people to ELOHIYM-ward, that you may bring the causes unto ELOHIYM:

Exo 18:20  And you shall teach them ordinances and Torah, and shall show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

Exo 18:21  Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear ELOHIYM, men of Truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

Exo 18:22  And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.

Exo 18:23  If you shall do this thing, and ELOHIYM command you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

Exo 18:24  So Mosheh hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

Exo 18:25  And Mosheh chose able men out of all Yashar’el, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

Exo 18:26  And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Mosheh, but every small matter they judged themselves.

Exo 18:27  And Mosheh let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

Israel at Mount Sinai

Exo 19:1  IN the third month, when the children of Yashar’el were gone forth out of the land of Mitsrayim, the same day came they into the wilderness of Ciynai.

Exo 19:2  For they were departed from Rephiydiym, and were come to the desert of Ciynai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Yashar’el camped before the Mount.

Exo 19:3  And Mosheh went up unto ELOHIYM, and YAHUAH called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shall you say to the house of Ya`aqov, and tell the children of Yashar’el;

Exo 19:4  Ye have seen what I did unto the Mitsriym, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.

Exo 19:5  Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and guard my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Exo 19:6  And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Yashar’el.

Exo 19:7  And Mosheh came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which YAHUAH com manded him.

Exo 19:8  And all the people answered together, and said, All that YAHUAH has spoken we will do. And Mosheh returned the words of the people unto EL-YAHUAH.

Exo 19:9  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Lo, I come unto you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever. And Mosheh told the words of the people unto EL-YAHUAH.

Exo 19:10  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes,

Exo 19:11  And be ready against the third day: for the third day YAHUAH will come down in the sight of all the people upon Mount Ciynai.

Exo 19:12  And you shall set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the Mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever touches the Mount shall be surely put to death:

Exo 19:13  There shall not a hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the shofar sounds long, they shall come up to the Mount.

Exo 19:14  And Mosheh went down from the Mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

Exo 19:15  And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your women.

Exo 19:16  And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the Mount, and the voice of the shofar exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

Exo 19:17  And Mosheh brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with ELOHIYM; and they stood at the nether part of the Mount.

Exo 19:18  And Mount Ciynai was altogether on a smoke, because YAHUAH descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

Exo 19:19  And when the voice of the shofar sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Mosheh spoke, and ELOHIYM answered him by a voice.

Exo 19:20  And YAHUAH came down upon Mount Ciynai, on the top of the Mount: and YAHUAH called Mosheh up to the top of the Mount; and Mosheh went up.

Exo 19:21  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto EL-YAHUAH to gaze, and many of them perish.

Exo 19:22  And let the priests also, which come near to EL-YAHUAH, sanctify themselves, lest YAHUAH break forth upon them.

Exo 19:23  And Mosheh said unto EL-YAHUAH, The people cannot come up to Mount Ciynai: for you charged us, saying, Set bounds about the Mount, and sanctify it.

Exo 19:24  And YAHUAH said unto him, Away, get you down, and you shall come up, you, and Aharon with you: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto EL-YAHUAH, lest he break forth upon them.

Exo 19:25  So Mosheh went down unto the people, and spoke unto them.

The Ten Commandments

Exo 20:3  You shall have no other elohiym before me.

Exo 20:4  You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Exo 20:5  You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I YAHUAH ELOHAYKA am a jealous EL, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exo 20:6  And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and guard my commandments.

Exo 20:7  You shall not take the name of YAHUAH ELOHAYKA in vain; for YAHUAH will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

Exo 20:8  Remember the day of the Shabbath, to keep it holy.

Exo 20:9  Six days shall you labour, and do all your work:

Exo 20:11  For in six days YAHUAH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore YAHUAH blessed the day of Shabbath, and hallowed it.

Exo 20:12  Honour your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which YAHUAH ELOHAYKA gives you.

Exo 20:13  You shall not murder.

Exo 20:19  And they said unto Mosheh, Speak with us, and we will hear: but let not ELOHIYM speak with us, lest we die.

Exo 20:20  And Mosheh said unto the people, Fear not: for ELOHIYM is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

Exo 20:21  And the people stood afar off, and Mosheh drew near unto the thick darkness where ELOHIYM was.

The Anointing Oil and Incense

Exo 30:22  Moreover YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Exo 30:23  Take also unto you principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred sheqels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty sheqels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty sheqels,

Exo 30:24  And of cassia five hundred sheqels, after the sheqel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive a hin:

Exo 30:25  And you shall make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be a holy anointing oil.

Exo 30:26  And you shall anoint את eth-the Tabernacle of the assembly therewith, and את eth-the Ark of the Testimony,

Exo 30:27  And את eth-the table and את eth-all his vessels, and את eth-the menorah and את eth-his vessels, and את eth-the altar of incense,

Exo 30:28  And את eth-the altar of burnt offering with את eth-all his vessels, and את eth-the laver and את eth-his foot.

Exo 30:32  Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.

Exo 30:33  Whosoever compounds any like it, or whosoever puts any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

Exo 30:34  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Take unto you sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:

Exo 30:37  And as for the perfume which you shall make, ye shall not make to yourselves accord ing to the composition thereof: it shall be unto you holy for YAHUAH.

Exo 30:38  Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.

Oholiab and Bezalel

Exo 31:1  AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Exo 31:2  See, I have called by name Betsal’el the son of Uriy, the son of Choriy, of the tribe of Yahudah:

Exo 31:3  And I have filled him with the RUACH ELOHIYM, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

Exo 31:4  To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

Exo 31:5  And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Exo 31:6  And I, behold, I have given with him את eth Aholiy’av, the son of Achiycamak, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make את eth all that I have commanded you;

Exo 31:7  את eth The Tabernacle of the assembly, and את eth-the Ark of the Testimony, and אתeth-the mercy seat that is thereupon, and את eth-all the furniture of the Tabernacle,

Exo 31:8  And את eth-the table and את eth-his furniture, and את eth-the pure menorah with אתeth-all his furniture, and את eth the altar of incense,

Exo 31:9  And את eth-the altar of burnt offering with את eth-all his furniture, and את eth-the laver and את eth-his foot,

Exo 31:10  And את eth the cloths of service, and את eth-the holy garments for Aharon the priest, and את eth-the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office,

Exo 31:11  And את eth the anointing oil, and את eth-sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded you shall they do.

The Sabbath

Exo 31:12  And YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,

Exo 31:13  Speak also unto the children of Yashar’el, saying, Truly את eth-my Shabbathoth ye shall guard: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YAHUAH MEQODDISHKEM. (YAHUAH who sanctifies you)

Exo 31:14  Ye shall guard את eth-the Shabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: everyone that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Exo 31:15  Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Shabbath of rest, holy to YAHUAH: whosoever does any work in the Shabbath, he shall surely be put to death.

Exo 31:16  Wherefore the children of Ya shar’el shall guard את eth-the Shabbath, to keep את eth-the Shabbath through out their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Exo 31:17  It is a sign between me and the children of Yashar’el forever: for in six days YAHUAH made את eth-the heavens and את eth-the earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Exo 31:18  And he gave unto Mosheh, when he had made an end of communing with him upon Mount Ciynai, two sapphires of testimony, sapphire stones, written with the finger of ELOHIYM.

The Golden Calf

Exo 32:1  AND when the people saw that Mosheh delayed to come down out of the Mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aharon, and said unto him, Up, make us elohiym, which shall go before us; for as for this Mosheh, the man that brought us up out of the land of Mitsrayim, we know not what is become of him.

Exo 32:2  And Aharon said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your women, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

Exo 32:3  And all the people broke off את eth-the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto El-Aharon.

Exo 32:4  And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be your elohiym, O Yashar’el, which brought you up out of the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 32:5  And when Aharon saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aharon made proclamation, and said, Tomorrow is a feast to YAHUAH.

Exo 32:6  And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

Exo 32:7  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Go, get you down; for your people, which you brought out of the land of Mitsrayim, have corrupted themselves:

Exo 32:8  They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be your elohiym, O Yashar’el, which have brought you up out of the land of Mitsrayim.

Exo 32:9  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, I have seen את eth-this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Exo 32:10  Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of you a great nation.

Exo 32:11  And Mosheh את eth-besought YAHUAH ELOHAYU, and said, YAHUAH, why does your wrath wax hot against your people, which you have brought forth out of the land of Mitsrayim with great power, and with a mighty hand?

Exo 32:12  Wherefore should the Mitsriym speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from your fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against your people.

Exo 32:13  Remember Avraham, Yitschaq, and Yashar’el, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give את eth-unto your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.

Exo 32:14  And YAHUAH repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

Exo 32:15  And Mosheh turned, and went down from the Mount, and the two sapphires of the testimony were in his hand: the sapphires were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.

Exo 32:16  And the sapphires were the work of ELOHIYM, and the writing was the writing of ELOHIYM, graven upon the sapphires.

Exo 32:17  And when Yahusha heard את eth-the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Mosheh, There is a noise of war in the camp.

Exo 32:18  And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

Exo 32:19  And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw את eth-the calf, and the dancing: and Mosheh’s anger waxed hot, and he cast את eth-the sapphires out of his hands, and broke them beneath the Mount.

Exo 32:20  And he took את eth-the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made את eth-the children of Yashar’el drink of it.

Exo 32:21  And Mosheh said unto El-Aharon, What did this people unto you, that you have brought so great a sin upon them?

Exo 32:22  And Aharon said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: you know את eth-the people, that they are set on mischief.

Exo 32:23  For they said unto me, Make us elohiym, which shall go before us: for as for this Mosheh, the man that brought us up out of the land of Mitsrayim, we know not what is become of him.

Exo 32:24  And I said unto them, Whosoever has any gold, let them break it off. So they gave itme: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.

Exo 32:25  And when Mosheh saw את eth-that the people were naked; (for Aharon had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

Exo 32:26  Then Mosheh stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on YAHUAH’S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Leviy gathered themselves together unto him.

Exo 32:27  And he said unto them, Thus says YAHUAH ELOHAI of Yashar’el, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man את eth-his brother, and every man את eth-his companion, and every man את eth-his neighbour.

Exo 32:28  And the children of Leviy did according to the word of Mosheh: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Exo 32:29  For Mosheh had said, Consecrate yourselves today to YAHUAH, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

Exo 32:30  And it came to pass on the morrow, that Mosheh said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto EL-YAHUAH; perchance I shall make an atone ment for your sin.

Exo 32:31  And Mosheh returned unto EL-YAHUAH, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them elohai of gold.

Exo 32:32  Yet now, if you will forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray you, out of your cepher which you have written.

Exo 32:33  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Whosoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my cepher.

Exo 32:34  Therefore now go, lead את eth-the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto you: behold, my Angel shall go before you: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.

Exo 32:35  And YAHUAH plagued את eth-the people, because they made את eth-the calf, which Aharon made.

The Command to Leave Sinai

Exo 33:1  AND YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Depart, and go up hence, you and the people which you have brought up out of the land of Mitsrayim, unto the land which I swore unto Avraham, to Yitschaq, and to Ya`aqov, saying, Unto your seed will I give it:

Exo 33:2  And I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out את eth-the Kena`aniy, the Emoriy, and the Chittiy, and the Perizziy, the Chivviy, and the Yevuciy:

Exo 33:3  Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of you; for you are a stiffnecked people: lest I consume you in the way.

Exo 33:4  And when the people heard את eth-the evil report, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

Exo 33:5  For YAHUAH had said unto Mosheh, Say unto the children of Yashar’el, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of you in a moment, and consume you: therefore now put off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do unto you.

Exo 33:6  And the children of Yashar’el stripped themselves את eth-of their ornaments by the Mount Chorev.

The Tent of Meeting

Exo 33:7  And Mosheh took את eth-the Tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the assembly. And it came to pass, that everyone which sought YAHUAH went out unto the Tabernacle of the assembly, which was without the camp.

Exo 33:8  And it came to pass, when Mosheh went out unto the Tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Mosheh, until he was gone into the Tabernacle.

Exo 33:9  And it came to pass, as Mosheh entered into the Tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the Tabernacle, and YAHUAH talked with Mosheh.

Exo 33:10  And all the people saw את eth-the cloudy pillar stand at the Tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

Exo 33:11  And YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh face to face, as a man speaks unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Yahusha, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the Tabernacle.

Moses’ Intercession

Exo 33:12  And Mosheh said unto EL-YAHUAH, See, you say unto me, Bring up את eth-this people: and you have not let me know את eth whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in my sight.

Exo 33:13  Now therefore, I pray you, if I have found grace in your sight, show me now את eth-your way, that I may know you, that I may find grace in your sight: and consider that this nation is your people.

Exo 33:14  And he said, My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.

Exo 33:15  And he said unto him, If your presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

Exo 33:16  For wherein shall it be known here that I and your people have found grace in your sight? is it not in that you go with us? so shall we be separated, I and your people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

Exo 33:17  And YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, I will do את eth-this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name.

Exo 33:18  And he said, I beseech you, show me את eth-your glory.

Exo 33:19  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of YAHUAH before you; and will be gracious to whom את eth-I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom את eth-I will show mercy.

Exo 33:20  And he said, You cannot see את eth-my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

Exo 33:21  And YAHUAH said, Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand upon a rock:

Exo 33:22  And it shall come to pass, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand while I pass by:

Exo 33:23  And I will take away את eth-my hand, and you shall see את eth-my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Moses Makes New Tablets

Exo 34:1  AND YAHUAH said unto Mosheh, Hew you two sapphire stones like unto the first: and I will write את eth-upon these sapphires the words that were in the first sapphires, which you broke.

Exo 34:2  And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto Mount Ciynai, and present yourself there to me in the top of the Mount.

Exo 34:3  And no man shall come up with you, neither let any man be seen throughout all the Mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.

Exo 34:6  And YAHUAH passed by before him, and proclaimed, YAHUAH, YAHUAH EL, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Exo 34:7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Exo 34:8  And Mosheh made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

Exo 34:9  And he said, If now I have found grace in your sight, O ADONAI, let my ADONAI, I pray you, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.

The Covenant Renewed

Exo 34:10  And he said, Behold, I cut a covenant: before all your people I will do wonders, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which you areshall see את eth-the work of YAHUAH: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with you.

Exo 34:11  Guard את eth that which I command you this day: behold, I drive out before you אתeth-the Emoriy, and the Kena`aniy, and the Chittiy, and the Perizziy, and the Chivviy, and the Yevuciy.

Exo 34:12  Take heed to yourself, lest you cut a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:
