6:9 – Burnt offering – Burnt offering: full surrender of the worshiper symbolized by the victim animal to God, and full surrender and consecration must come before fellowship with God;

  • Everything is consumed on the altar – Verses
  • The fire of YHWH must be in us continually, never going out (our allegiance to him)

6:12-13 – the fire shall not be put out – (just as the candlestick) –

Mincha – grain – drawing near to YHWH and offering our lives to our fellow man

  • Man has been likened to grain

6:15 – Oil – Priests and kings were anointed with oil – symbol of the Ruach – Verses

6:16The priests lived by these gifts/offerings

  • Our high priest Yahusha partakes in this role today!

6:17 – Leaven reminder – Verses

6:26 – The priests ate the sin offering (consumed the sin) – Verses

  • It is holy!

6:28 – Distinction between porous and non-porous vessels (leading up to unclean meat/insects)
